About this program

The Novara Book Club reads one book at a time and meets regularly to discuss it. Books are chosen with the community and range from accessible fiction to memoir and nonfiction about education, leadership, and wellbeing.

Discussions are guided but informal — the aim is thinking out loud together, not performing. Reading is done at whatever pace works around school, work, and family responsibilities.

What you'll learn

  • Critical reading and analysis
  • Expressing and defending an opinion respectfully
  • Listening to perspectives different from your own
  • Vocabulary and reading stamina
