About this program

The Culture Exchange Program connects participants with volunteers around the world. Each session, a guest introduces their country — traditions, food, languages, education systems, history, and everyday life — followed by open conversation.

Exchange goes both ways: participants also share Afghan culture, history, and daily life, which builds pride, presentation skills, and genuine international friendships.

What you'll learn

  • Intercultural communication and global awareness
  • How education and work differ across countries
  • Confidence presenting your own culture to an international audience
  • Practical English conversation with speakers worldwide

How it works

  1. 1

    Monthly country focus

A volunteer host presents their country and answers questions.

  2. 2

    Two-way exchange

Participants present Afghan culture in return.

  3. 3

    Conversation circles

Small breakout groups for informal talk.

  4. 4

    Friendship pairs

Optional ongoing pen-pal matches between sessions.
